Tiddy Jiggy Swap

Over on UKS some of us are working our little socks off on the Tiddy Jiggy Swap. We've done the 12x12 and the 8x8 jigsaw and now we're doing the 6x6. I was in two minds whether to join this swap because I wasn't convinced that you can do that much with such a small space, but I was cajoled by my dear sister and eventually I figured that as I've done the other two I may as well have the full set. I am amazed at what you can do with such a tiny space.

Well, here's my first five pieces. I'm still awaiting for a few bits and bobs to be able to finish the others.

Theme: Metal. I love metal so this was a fun piece to do. THe background is stamped with copper ink and then highlighted with Perfect Pearls. I then stuck some random metallic pieces onto it and I love how it turned out.

Theme: Colours of the Rainbow. I had to do Turquoise/light blue. I was a bit worried about this because I didn't think I had a lot of turquoise stash, but it's amazing what you find when you look. Background is acrylic paint. I then put some mesh on and decorated with a few bits and pieces.

Theme: T Monogram. The picture on this one is not very clear. I think all the shiny bits are reflecting off each other. The background is red paint and then glittered. The "t" is stamped and then embossed in gold and I finished it off with gems.

Theme: Pretty Embossed - it can be anything as long as it's embossed. Painted the background yellow and then spread some crackle paint very thinly on top to give a bit of a marble effect. I stamped and embossed some hearts and flowers. I wasn't too sure about this one at first but the more I look at it the more I like it.

Theme: Opposites. This is my own piece. For some unfathomable reason I chose the theme of opposites - I figured it would be fun and interesting to see what people came up with. After much dithering I came up with hard/soft. I love metal and lately I've been appreciating feathers so this was a perfect way to combine the two.
