Ready Steady Scrap Challenge

Our team on UK Scrappers is setting a Weekly Challenge in April and this is my LO for it. We went to Legoland in October and it was pissing down with rain the whole day but we still managed to have fun and Eli loved splashing about in the water digging for gold.

Something from (almost) nothing!!

As if I haven't got enough to do.... I've gone and signed up for Shimelle's "something from (almost) nothing" class.

Challenge One: Proclaim why you have so much stash and post a photo.

Honesty time - eeek. When I'm feeling depressed, stash shopping cheers me up :) I'm also very precious about my stash. I love looking and stroking it but am terrified to use it, especially expensive stuff.

My stash is actually quite tidy today (it won't be at the end of the day because I will be using it as soon as I finish this post).

Here's my portable stash trolley and a very small corner of my semi-tidy table.

As for a goal - hmmm. I'm not going for a "how much I want to use" goal. I'm going to set my goal as using my stuff in new and creative ways and not being afraid of using it.

Permission Denied

I've often been told, "don't do this" or "don't do that" but it really comes to something when my own computer refuses me permission to use it. I updated my anti-virus software yesterday and ever since then my computer is denying me access. My dear technophobe husband managed to open an explorer window, so now we're not daring to turn it off. It's a bit of a cheek really, my other half is a complete luddite. Technological items quiver in fear when he comes along. I only hope that my computer behaves long enough for me to post this.

Anyway now that I have managed to open a window I'm posting a couple of pictures of Eli on Purim dressed as Uncle Sam. He was a bit under the weather on the day but was considerate enough to give us a couple of really good shots.

Final Pieces of the Puzzle

I've finally finished the Tiddy Jiggy. I redid one of the pieces because I wasn't quite happy with it, so here are the last three pics.

Theme: Dragonflies. I painted the background with green acrylic paint and then poured little caviar beads onto it. I sealed the beads with Glossy Accents. I stuck two dragonfly embellies onto it.

Theme: Winnie the Pooh and Friends. I painted the background yellow and put some flocking powder on to give it a bit of a furry texture. Then I stuck some red felt on to make it look like Pooh's jumper. Alpha ribbon sliders and Pooh charms finish the look.

Theme: T Monogram. I didn't like how this piece came out so I altered it a little. I made a T out of playdoh, painted it, glittered it and covered it in Glossy Accents. It looks much better now than it did before.
